Fundy Direct is designed to make ordering albums as simple as a few clicks from within Fundy Designer. Gone are the days of complicated and confusing ordering systems. We've partnered with a handful of labs and album companies to streamline the process of ordering albums.
Our software will automatically check that your album company data is up to date, check your page counts against the album company specifications, check to ensure the full resolution images are synced so your album is perfect. Once your order is placed, you can even track your orders from Fundy Designer!
New Project/Subproject
Setting up a Fundy Direct album is identical to setting up an album for any other lab. You start by either creating a new project and importing your photos, or add a new album to an existing project. You can even convert an existing album to a Fundy Direct album. Click the Album Builder icon to launch the Album Wizard, which will guide you through the process of setting up your Direct album.
Fundy Direct Album Selection
The first step is to select Fundy Direct as your Album Type. Click Next to continue with the wizard. You can step back at any time by simply clicking the step you want to modify or by choosing the X in the upper right hand corner to quit the album setup wizard.
Here, you can select the heart to the right of your favorite album companies and filter to them in the future!
Album Company
The next step is to select your Album Company. Currently, we are partnering with a handful of album companies, but will continue to expand Direct. You can stay up to date on what labs and album companies are in Direct by visiting the Fundy Software Direct page.
In this example, we'll be using our demo company, ACME Albums. **NOTE: This is not a real company, it's simply for the purpose of illustrating how you set up an album order with Direct. The list of album companies will change and update as we bring on more partners.**
Select the album company you want to use for your order and click Next.
Album Company Book Line
Select the Book Line you want to use for your Direct album. This list will be different for each album company. It depends on what albums they are offering with Direct. If you see a star next to book line or size, this means it will be available to order through Direct! Please note that not all book lines will be available with Direct. Each album company has selected the lines they will offer and that list will be shown here.
With our ACME Album demo company, there is only one choice. Once you click the book line you want, click Next to continue.
Album Size
The Album Size will show you all the options available for the book line you have selected. The graphic will help you quickly determine if it's a square, horizontal or vertical album size. Here, you will also be able to favorite the sizes you use the most to so you can filter to them later!
The horizontal measurement is always the first number, followed by the vertical measurement in an album size. For example, a 9x6 album would be 9" wide and 6" high. To help avoid any confusion or mistakes, we show you a graphic representation of your album cover.
Cover
Next, you'll select your Cover. Again, this changes from company to company. When you make your selection, a list of available materials will be displayed, which represents the options that will be available when you place your album order. Once you've made your cover choice, click Next to continue.
Note: Not all cover materials offered by the selected lab may be available to order through Direct. Make sure that your preference is available!
Review Album Settings
The Review step will list all the parameters of your album choices. Review them to ensure they are correct, then give your Direct album a name and click Create Album.
If you need to make any changes or made a selection in error, you can simply click the step you want to modify to go back to make any changes, then continue forward to the review step.
Design Your Album
Once your album is set up, you will be taken to Album Builder's Planner View, where you will begin designing your album. You'll notice that in the upper left is a page count indicator. This will change depending on the album company you are using, but this will tell you the current page count and what the requirements are for the album you're designing. This is part of the way we eliminate any problems or confusion when ordering your album through Direct.
