What the Yellow Triangle Means
The yellow triangle icon is just a heads-up, not an error.
It appears when a photo is a little smaller than what’s recommended for the size it will be printed at. This lets you know that the image will be resized when you export.
Don’t Worry — This Is Very Common
Digital photo resolution can be confusing, but the important thing to know is this:
- Photos are made of pixels
- Bigger prints need more pixels
- Fundy Designer automatically takes care of this for you
When you choose an album size, Fundy Designer knows exactly what each album company requires and checks your photos for you.
If a photo doesn’t quite meet the recommended size, you’ll see the yellow triangle showing:
- The size the image needs to be
- The percentage your image is being upsized by
What You Should Do
In most cases, the easiest and safest option is to do nothing.
Fundy Designer can automatically upsize your images on export, and the results are excellent for print. For most albums, this works perfectly and saves you a lot of time. If the images are upsized by 250% or more, please open in Photoshop and view at Print Size to ensure you are happy with the quality.
Available Options
You also have a few optional choices:
- Quickest option: Let Fundy Designer handle the resizing automatically when you export.
- Export Larger Files: Re-export a higher-resolution image from your original RAW file, then re-sync it in Fundy Designer.
- Edit Image using Fundy Designer: Open the image in Photoshop using the External Editor button and resize it there.
Final Tip
Think of the yellow triangle like a “use caution” sign, not a problem you must fix.
For most users and most projects, letting Fundy Designer resize your images is the recommended approach. Just review your final export before sending it to print, and you’ll be good to go.
