The Complete Social Design App Guide – Fundy Designer
The Social Design App is a powerful tool included with your Fundy Designer subscription that allows you to create custom social media content — stories, carousels, reels, and slideshows — quickly and professionally. Unlike traditional design apps, this tool auto-generates layouts for you, saving time while producing high-quality results.
Getting Started
Signing Up & Free Trial
New users can begin with a 7-day free trial of the Social Design App, giving access to all features before a paid subscription begins.
To sign up:
If you’re new to Fundy, click Try Free on the Fundy site, create an account, and enter payment details.
If you already use Fundy Designer, choose Sign In when prompted and log in with your existing credentials.
After signing up, choose your plan and finalize your order. If using a trial, you’ll be charged after the 7-day period ends.
Downloading the App
Subscribers can download the mobile Social Design App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at no extra cost when part of a paid Fundy Designer plan.
Once installed, log in with your Fundy credentials — the web and mobile versions will sync through your account.
Using the Social Design App
Creating a Project
To make a new project:
Log in and begin a new project.
Browse Photos and select up to 20 images on web (30 on mobile).
Enter a project name (required) and optional text prompts such as panel text or end panel text.
Upload or choose your photographer logo.
Select templates:
Slideshow/Reel
Story
Carousel
Slideshow Post
You can skip any template stage if desired.
Once templates are selected, click your design to open it for editing.
Toolbars & Editing
Text Toolbar
The text toolbar appears when text is selected and gives full typographic control:
Add text boxes and change font, size, color, background color
Toggle bold, underline, italic
Set justification, duplicate text boxes, adjust layer placement, or delete.
Text boxes are created by dragging a font style from the sidebar onto your canvas.
Shapes Toolbar
When a shape is selected, this toolbar lets you:
Change stroke weight/color, shape color, and opacity
Duplicate shapes
Toggle drop shadows
Adjust layer order or delete shapes entirely.
Shapes are added by dragging them from the Shape Well.
Images Toolbar
This toolbar activates when an image or Drop Zone is selected and offers:
Crop/Zoom
Image spacing
Different aspect ratios (1:1, 3:2, Native, Free)
Stroke, opacity, duplicate, and drop shadow toggles
Layer placement and delete options.
You can adjust spacing and image proportions directly on the canvas.
Account & Billing
Change Password
To update your password when logged in:
Go to Account > Login and Password in the app, then select Update.
If you’ve forgotten your password, use Forgot Password on the login screen to reset it.
Adjusting Your Plan
Within the app, go to Account > Plan to review subscription details or cancel upcoming payments.
Update Billing Info
You can update your payment details by logging in, navigating to Account > Billing, and selecting Update next to your card information.
Troubleshooting
If the web or mobile app misbehaves:
Web App
Refresh the page with Shift + R
Use Google Chrome
Disable any ad-blockers
Clear site data and reload the app.
Mobile App
Force-close and restart the app
Restart your phone
Reinstall the app (projects stored locally may be lost)

Best Practices & Workflow Tips
The Social Design App is built for speed and efficiency:
Start with your best photos that work well together.
Keep text short (ideally 2–4 words per panel).
Design all your weekly content in one sitting — stories, carousels, and reels — and then schedule them using your favorite social scheduler app.
Exporting & Posting
Once your designs are ready:
Export directly to your device or camera roll.
Upload them into a scheduling app or post manually.
This makes managing a week (or month) of social content far quicker.
