Create Project
To create a new project, first launch Fundy Designer. From there, select "Start New Project."
Next, enter the project name (1) and click "Browse" to choose the save location for the project (2). Once you've completed these steps, click "Create Project" (3).
To import images, select "Import Photos" to upload a folder of images from your computer.
It is normal for individual image names to appear grayed out on Mac and not listed individually on Windows; the entire folder of images will be uploaded.
At the subsequent step, you can choose to use Perfectly Clear Skin Retouching (included in Pro Enhancements). Select the desired retouching type from the drop-down menu (1), then click "Retouch" (2). Alternatively, you may choose to skip retouching by selecting "Skip" (3).
Create Albums, Galleries, & Cards
After selecting the Perfectly Clear option, there are three options to create your subprojects; Design for Me, Design Wizard, & manually creating subprojects. See below for more details on each of these options.
In the "Design for Me" panel, you can select a collection from the drop-down menu (1), which will display the corresponding products on the left side. To create this collection, click "Auto Design Now" (2). You can also save custom collections to appear here.
After clicking "Auto Design Now," a list of designs will appear. Click "Open" under any design to access that subproject.
To get to the Design Wizard, select Customize on the Design for Me panel. Then on each tab, toggle on or off that type of project and go through each drop down section to select the desired settings for the sizing and auto design. For more details on the Design Wizard, see this article.
Close the Design for Me panel to skip that step. Then, select the icon for the desired subproject type to create an empty project to build from scratch.
Album Subproject
To create a new album, click the album builder icon. Follow by choosing your lab, book line, album size, and cover. Enter a name for the album and click Save Changes. You can then design the album manually, spread by spread.
Wall Art Subproject
To create a wall art subproject, click the wall art icon and select New Gallery. Next, choose the lab you'd like to use for the wall art. If your preferred lab is not listed, select Generic Standard or Generic Metric. Click Next, provide a name for the gallery, and then click Finish.
Card Subproject
To create a new card subproject, click the card icon and then select New Card. Choose the card size and orientation from the dropdown menus. Enter a name for the card and click Create. You can then select a design from the Design Library. You may also select the Custom tab to specify a custom size or upload a card template.
