When your client leaves comments on an album proof, the process below will help you manage those revisions cleanly and clearly.
Duplicate the Album
Begin by making a copy of your last uploaded album. This step is critical because if you skip it, all comments from all revisions will end up with the same subproject name in the drop down menu, making them hard to track.
In the Album Builder, locate your project in the Sub-Projects list.
Click the two-square icon next to the project name to duplicate it.
A copy will appear with “- Copy” appended to its name.
Select the copy, then click the pencil icon near the size setting (top-left) to access the album settings.
Change the project name (bottom-right) so that it reflects the revision number or date (for example, “Album – Revision 1”).
View Comments & Make Revisions
Open the duplicated album (the copy) and double-click any spread you want to work on.
To toggle comments on and off, click the “Show Comments” button located at the top beside the spread navigation arrows.
A comment panel will appear on the right side. Use it to select the specific sub-project whose comments you wish to view.
The comments panel will list page numbers where feedback has been left—navigate to those pages accordingly.
To see the exact spot the client commented on, hover over the comment in the panel. The tool will display a JPEG image of the spread as uploaded to the proofer.
Make edits as necessary
Create a New Proof
Once you’ve implemented the requested changes, use the Export menu to generate a new proof and send it back to the client. This becomes the latest revision they’ll review. If more rounds of feedback come in, just repeat the steps: duplicate the latest version, update the name (e.g., “Revision 2”, “Revision 3”), view comments, make changes, export and send.
